It is an Indian telecommunications company. RelCom is also into Wireline Business through out India and has the largest OFC backbone architecture [roughly 110,000 KMs] in the country. The company also has license in the GSM telecom services space for most of the Telecom Circles ( zones in layman's words). It currently operates in 8 circles and plans to launch in the others soon.

Reliance Communications has interests in Direct To Home (DTH) TV also, known as "Big TV". It plans to launch its DTH business by July 2008. Once done, RelCom will have presence across all B2C communications channel in one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
